Scarce original lithograph of the Declaration of Independence, 15 x 17.5, issued by the Chicago Tribune in commemoration of Independence Day, July 4, 1895, and printed by the Sherwood Lithograph Company of Chicago, Illinois. In fine, folded condition, with some light creasing and edgewear; the text and names of the signers remain dark and bold. Very few of these Sherwood lithographs surface today, as most were lost due to mishandling or simply discarded after the July 4th celebrations.
