ALS, two pages on two adjoining sheets, 5 x 8, blindstamped Lyceum Theatre letterhead, July 6, 1895. Handwritten letter arranging an appointment, in part: "I should be happy to see Mr. Lees any day at 1 or any evening at 7:30 but I fear it will be…here as we close in three weeks & do not return for a year & have engagements…for nearly two years." In very good to fine condition, with intersecting folds and overall creasing.
Stoker worked as business manager for Henry Irving's world-famous Lyceum Theatre in London between 1879 and 1898, where he supplemented his income by writing a large number of sensational novels—his most famous being the vampire tale Dracula, published in 1897.
