American fisherman, merchant, and military leader from Marblehead, Massachusetts (1732-1797) who served as a brigadier general in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. Rare ink signature, "John Glover, B. General,” on an off-white 4.25 x 1.75 slip clipped from a letter and affixed to a slightly larger sheet. In fine condition, with a light paperclip impression to the bottom edge.
