I am delighted to know that you enjoyed ‘Venus Observed’ and am most grateful to you for having thought to write and tell me so. Please accept my very best wishes and again my thanks for your kindness and interest.” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. Venus Observed is a play in blank verse by the English dramatist and poet Christopher Fry. It starred Laurence Olivier as the Duke of Altair and was first performed on January 18, 1950, at the St. James's Theatre in London.
