American comic actor (1895-1963) who appeared in over 400 films, but is best remembered for his roles in many short films for Columbia Pictures, frequently as the foil to The Three Stooges. Rare vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of the great comic actor hamming it up in a serious seated pose, signed and inscribed in white ink, "To Uncle Chas + Aunt Mable, with love from Vernon, 5/24/23.” In fine condition.
