Williamson, in full: “Five weeks absence in Europe and Africa, and the piles of mail which accumulated while I was away, are responsible for this late reply to your April 16th letter. You are, of course, welcome to use my June 3, 1942 letter to Mr. Sorensen in the book of reminiscences you are editing. I return herewith the photostat you sent.” Double-matted and framed with an FDC, engraved plate, and a photo of the Spirit of St. Louis with its pilot to an overall size of 26.5 x 18.5. In very good condition, with creasing, toning, and dampstaining affecting appearance.
