United States Army pay document for "services rendered as Guide from March 20th to March 26th." Endorsed by Sheridan with his approval at center, and countersigned by Philip Smith as quartermaster. Further endorsed below by J. G. Nichols to confirm receipt of the $15 payment. In fine condition, with trivial stains to the top edge.
