The badges features the Olympics rings over a shield and laurel branch, with “Xth Olympiad Los Angeles” above, and engraved tablet below: the gold badge reads “Official”; the silver team chef de mission badge is numbered "53"; and the bronze athlete's badge is numbered "1112."
