Color glossy 10.5 x 11.5 lightweight photographic print of George Harrison as taken by William Coupon in 1987, signed in blue felt tip by Harrison. In very good to fine condition, with scattered light creasing. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from JSA.
According to Coupon: ‘Of all places I was vacationing in Santa Fe, New Mexico, when I got the call from Rolling Stone Magazine to photograph the Beatle, George Harrison, in the Warner Brothers Studios in Los Angeles. Only thing was, all my equipment was back in New York. So I had an assistant get it and bring everything to LA and there I met George. I set up to meet the man, the incredible George Harrison. The musician who had sat for everybody and had been shot in every conceivable outfit. But I found a wonderful dark cloak jacket, kind of a smock. George certainly could have been more friendly—bordering on being a curmudgeon. This was slightly disappointing. I remember talking about ELO and Jeff Lynn with him, which George made clear who came first. I had him work with his hands and got the shot I loved so much. Eyes closed. Eyes open.’
