Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “George R,” one page, 13.5 x 9.5, September 5, 1746. King George II appoints Richard Burton "to be Lieutenant to that Troop…in Our Regiment of Dragoons commanded by Our Trusty & Welbeloved Sir Robert Rich Bar't Lieutenant General of Our Forces." Signed at the head by King George II. The embossed paper seal remains affixed by one corner. In very good to fine condition, with light soiling and wrinkling.
