ALS as president-elect, signed "George," penned on both sides of a 6.25 x 4.25 vice presidential stationery card, November 26, 1988. Handwritten letter to Bob Boilard of Biddeford, Maine, in part: "Before heading back to D.C. I just want to thank you for my great reel and for the kids' rods. You're a thoughtful guy…Hang in—soon the blues'll be coming back and so will I." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. Bush had just won the 1988 presidential election on November 8th, and evidently unwound with a well-deserved trip to Maine before returning to DC to prepare for his inauguration.
