Two items: an ALS signed “Chris, (AKA CJ),” one page, 8 x 10.5, no date (circa 1995), sent to friend and Ramones artist Andy Gore, in full: “This is the logo. Give me a call when you get it so I know it arrived. No rush for the shirts, we’re playing on Jan. 17th but they’re not necessary for the show. Thanx again man, it’s a great thing you’re doing son! (Haha) Talk to ya soon”; and a sample raglan-style t-shirt for the garage/rock/punk band Los Gusanos, which was formed as a side project in 1992 by Chris Ward (a.k.a. C. J. Ramone), size large, which features the band’s logo to the front and lyrics to their ‘Helldorado’ on the back. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing tube hand-addressed by CJ Ramone. Gore explained that he designed this shirt for CJ in exchange for the latter’s leather jacket.
Gore explained that he designed this shirt for CJ in exchange for the latter’s leather jacket. ‘When the RAMONES were touring for the final time I just asked CJ outright if he would sell me this leather jacket and, to my surprise, he gave it to me after the band retired. I would have paid any price for the privilege to possess this item, but CJ just asked me to screen-print some t-shirts for his new band called ‘Los Gusanos.’ That was all he wanted.’
