Slight, sad-looking character actor (1935-1978) best known for his screen debut as Fredo, the weak-willed son of Don Corleone, in Francis Ford Coppola's classic The Godfather. Cazale holds a singular distinction in the annals of Hollywood history: all six films in which he appeared (including an archival appearance in The Godfather, Part III) were nominated for Academy Awards for Best Picture. Vintage fountain pen signature and inscription, "To Jack, Warmest regards, John Cazale,” on a blue 5 x 3 card. In very fine condition, with a photo of Cazale affixed to the lower left corner. Encapsulated and graded by PSA/DNA as "GEM MT 10."
