In full: "I must send you a line to say how emphatically Woodruff has made good. He has been a real and great help in every important question that has come up in connection with the Interior Department." In fine condition. Pinchot enjoyed a close relationship with President Roosevelt, who shared Pinchot's views regarding the importance of conservation. In 1905, Roosevelt and Pinchot convinced Congress to establish the United States Forest Service, and Pinchot was installed as its leader.
