Description

Seven merchandising samples of jewelry given to Prince to review prior to their sale during his 1990 Nude Tour, including: a single mirrored heart with peace sign earring (left over from the Lovesexy tour); first incarnations of the symbol jewelry—a symbol pin, pair of symbol earrings, and a symbol necklace; a pair of heart earrings with dangling symbol inside; a pin spelling out the name "Prince" in a '60s-inspired font; and a square B&W photo pin from a Jeff Katz session. In overall fine condition.

Prince's former co-manager Jill Willis recalls: "There were more pieces as well as clothing items sold on the Nude Tour; these are just items I still had in storage. I can vividly laying these out on a table in Prince's dressing room behind the stage in Rotterdam while he was at soundcheck with the rest of the band. An hour or so later, someone told me that he wanted to see me and so, I headed back to the dressing room. He said that he was no longer sure if we should be selling any items that used or included the 'love symbol' as he called it, and wanted to know if we could pull everything that used the symbol. After a bit of discussion, he agreed to just let the items remain for sale."
