Appealing 11″-long gavel crafted from wood removed attributed to the Yorktown battlefield, with an engraved silver identification plaque on the head: "Wood from Yorktown, Va. Battlefield." Also bears a monogram plaque, engraved: "EHLB." In fine condition, with minor tarnishing to the plaque and a ding to the tip of the handle. The initials refer to Eliza Harris Lawton Barker, a former Vice President General of the National D.A.R.
