Aviatrix (1901-1960) who was the only woman yet to hold simultaneous world records for speed, altitude, and distance. Vintage glossy 9.5 x 7.5 photo of the record-setting aviatrix in front of a biplane, boldly signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To Ouida and Basil Rathbone, with greatest appreciation of an inimicable team, Sincerely, Ruth R. Nichols.” Affixed to a same-size mount and in very good to fine condition, with trimmed edges and overall creasing. An intriguing association piece.
