Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “Jas. Monroe,” one page, 14.75 x 11.75, July 31, 1800. As governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, Monroe grants Casper Mifford "a certain Tract or Parcel of Land, containing Forty one Acres by Survey." Neatly signed at the conclusion in ink by Governor James Monroe. The white paper seal affixed to the lower left corner remains intact. In fine condition, with a few small stains.
