Description

A TRS-80 Pocket Computer 2 (Catalog No. 26-3601), better known as the PC-2, which includes its original blue Radio Shack box, 10″ x 7.25″ x 2″, and contains the PC-2’s black carrying poach and ring-bound owner’s manual. The back of the PC-2 is numbered “C1024433” and bears an affixed ownership label. The most powerful member of Radio Shack’s family of Pocket Computers, the PC-2 cost $279.95 when it was introduced in 1982 and it was the only Pocket Computer that had speed and memory capacity that was competitive with a contemporary desktop computer.

Includes two of the PC-2’s most popular interfaces:

The Cassette/Printer Interface (Cat. No. 26-3605), which ​​added 25 commands to PC-2 Extended Pocket BASIC to control the cassette and printer. Includes the original blue Radio Shack box, 16.25″ x 9.25″ x 3.25″, which also contains an AC adapter charger, cables, ink cartridges, and printer sheets. Includes the owner’s manual. The bottom of the interface bears an affixed ownership label.

RS-232C Interface (Cat. No. 26-3612), which added commands to Extended Pocket BASIC to allow the PC-2 to connect to most RS-232 devices. Includes the original blue Radio Shack box, 13.25″ x 5.75″ x 4″, which also contains an AC adapter charger, supporting connection brackets, and the owner’s manual. In overall fine and untested working condition; the box bears varying degrees of wear, including creases and some tears; the bottom of the P&C Interface box has been sealed with tape.
