Description

American showman (1860-1942) who began his career as a trapper and Pawnee interpreter and later became a partner in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. ALS signed “G. W. Lillie,” two pages on two adjoining sheets, 6 x 7, Pawnee Bill's Buffalo Ranch letterhead, March 24, 1925. Handwritten letter to a friend, in part: "Yes I was in the East when my good mother passed away. I thank you and Mrs. A. for your letter of condolence—As it was very thoughtful of you." In fine condition, with a faint stain to the first page.
