Carter," one page, 6.25 x 8.5, personal letterhead, in full: "Despite the erroneous headline, we won the '76 Wisconsin primary, reminding us of the 'Dewey Defeats Truman' 1948 newspaper headline"; and an 8 x 10 print of Carter holding up a Milwaukee Sentinel newspaper with the headline, 'Carter Upset by Udall,' signed in silver ink, "Jimmy Carter," and also signed in the lower border by the photographer. Additionally includes a matte-finish 10 x 8 photo of the iconic 'Dewey Defeats Truman' image. In overall fine condition. A one-of-a-kind lot connecting Carter to his idol, Harry S. Truman.
