As Commander-in-Chief of the United States Army, General Douglas MacArthur authorizes Lieutenant Wesley W. Spinney, an Intelligence Technical Inspector for the Directorate of Intelligence, Allied Air Forces, “and his section…to take complete charge of all crashed or captured enemy air force equipment as early as possible. Every possible aid consistent with combat operations will be given this officer,” which includes transportation, communication facilities, guards, rations, labor, and vehicle fuels and parts. Signed at the conclusion by MacArthur. The lower left bears an affixed official photo of Spinney, who signs below in black ink. Includes an assortment of small mimeographed photocopies of Spinney’s authorization passes and documents. In fine condition.
