Set of five color satin-finish 'Abbey Road' photographs taken by Iain Macmillan, all approximately 12 x 12 and mounted on foamcore, featuring three 'outtakes' from the session as well as the images used for the front and back covers of the Beatles' Abbey Road album. Macmillan had just ten minutes to capture the perfect shot for the iconic record cover. All bear Ron Jones address labels on the reverse. In fine condition, with tack holes to the corners.
Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks and a certificate of authenticity from Ron Jones, originator and co-organizer of 1984's The Art of The Beatles exhibition and author of The Beatles' Liverpool. Jones writes, in part: "In early 1984, Ian Macmillan supplied copy negatives of these images to me to have prints made for display in The Art of The Beatles exhibition, held at Liverpool's Walker Art Gallery in 1984. Using Macmillan's negatives, Liverpool's premier photographic company, John Mills Photography Ltd., made these 12″ x 12″ prints and mounted them on foamboard for the exhibition."
