Very rare pairing of items from the Jimi Hendrix Experience concert held at the Coliseum in Chicago, Illinois, on December 1, 1968—an unused ticket for “Jimi Hendrix,” 4 x 1.25, issued for the mezzanine as “AA, 8, 1”; and the original Triangle Theatrical Productions program for said concert, eight pages, 6 x 9, featuring an article with an image for the band, as well as Triangle’s fall and winter lineup schedule, which lists Hendrix, Pete Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, Diana Ross and the Supremes, Ravi Shankar, The Four Tops, and more. In overall fine condition, with light handling wear. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks.
The Coliseum concert, per a quote from Richard Christenson of the Chicago Daily News: ‘Hendrix and his two-man backup group, bassist Noel Redding and drummer Mitch Mitchell, ran through a set that bordered on the fantastic. Hendrix showed why he is regarded as one of the most talented and creative guitarists of the decade, while Mitchell and Redding provided a solid and powerful rhythmic background.’
