Description

Vintage glossy 10 x 8 photo of the Beatles seated on stools and shaking hands with a young boy, an image taken at a ‘Meet the Beatles’ charity garden party in Brentwood, California, on August 24, 1964. The event, which took place one day after the group’s concert at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, was organized by the head of Capitol Records, Alan W. Livingston. The gathering was initially to be held at his personal home, but due to security concerns, he moved it to the residence of his mother-in-law. A host of celebrity guests and their families attended and, following the meet-and-greet, each member of the Beatles was presented with a plaque thanking them for their cooperation. The reverse bears a Capitol Records stamp. In very good to fine condition, with scattered light creasing. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks.
