Scarce United States Special Operation Command medal presented to Lieutenant General William P. Yarborough. Bronze, 147 gm, 63 mm x 76 mm, with the front featuring the emblem of the United States Special Operations Command sent within a sun, and the reverse featuring a raised laurel wreath and text, “ARS-Sub Rosa-Audacia, The Quiet Professionals, Presented by USCINCSOC to,” and an affixed engraved central plate: “LTG William P. Yarborough, June 1997.” The medal retains its original black-and-yellow striped ribbon. In fine condition. USCINCSOC stands for Commander in Chief, United States Special Operations Command. Given the medal date, the then-serving USCINCSOC was General Henry H. Shelton.
