Collection of personal belongings identified to Captain Abram Lash, Co. A, 69th Regiment of Illinois Volunteers, who served as a Union guard at Camp Douglas in Chicago and was in charge of taking prisoners of war down the Mississippi to Vicksburg for exchange. The items include: his gold bullion captain's shoulder straps, a United States Army razor, a silver match safe, an Elgin pocket watch, a GAR membership badge, and a Masonic pin and badge, as well as an envelope panel addressed to him at Camp Douglas. In overall very good condition.
