Description

Desirable ALS as president signed “J. Tyler,” one page, 5 x 7.5, September 14, 1844. Handwritten letter to "Judge Bibb," in full: "I wish commissions made out for the following persons—E. A. Thompson in place of Leech receiver at Quincy, Illinois. Jas. W. Bennett Register at Springfield Illinois in place of Elkin." Handsomely mounted, double-matted, and framed with an engraved portrait (bearing a facsimile signature) to an overall size of 22 x 16. In fine condition.
