Description

British statesman (1784-1865) who served twice as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in the mid-19th century. ALS in French, signed “Palmerston,” one page both sides, 4.75 x 7.25, [annotated April 1831]. Letter to a "Prince," evidently Charles-Maurice de Talleyrand, written during negotiations for the independence of Belgium. Palmerston writes that he can not submit a note that very evening, because it is essential to submit it to the king for approval. In fine condition.
