Ballpoint signature and inscription, "To Michael—Here's the card I promised. Best wishes, Jimmy Carter,” at the conclusion of a letter sent to him, written on a lined 8 x 10.5 sheet, November 3, 1998. The letter explains that the writer had attended a book signing and asked Carter for a business card; though he did not have current ones, the former president promised to send one from his senatorial days if he wrote to him. The original 'business card,' an item from Carter's 1962 campaign for state senate, is included. In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
