American journalist, author, and politician (1925-2004) who served as the ninth press secretary for United States Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. Salinger served as a United States Senator in 1964 and as campaign manager for the 1968 Robert F. Kennedy presidential campaign. Ballpoint signature, "Pierre Salinger,” on the inside of a 4.75 x 6.25 Mexican air mail postal card, with typed address field: "Presidential Flight, Washington, D.C. to Mexico City, Mexico, June 29, 1962." In fine condition. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder, grading the autograph as "NM 7."
