This excellent sketch of Bongo, the illegitimate son of Life in Hell protagonist Binky, was drawn by Groening when Springfield’s finest were beginning to pick up steam: The Simpsons premiered on The Tracey Ullman Show (April 19, 1987), and then made their Fox network debut on December 17, 1989.
