Letter to well-known Hollywood stills photographer and publicity director John LeRoy Johnston, in part: "Now that I'm no longer president of Universal, I want to tell you how much I enjoyed your work under my management for several years. You always did a swell job and you have always given the company everything that is in you. You are one of the hardest workers I ever met in my life and that is saying a great deal.
