TLS signed “Jim,” one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, August 26, 1954. Letter to Edgar Carter, in part: "To keep you up to date, I enclose Blanche's letter about the disclaimer, which I take it bears our Mr. Weinberg that such things aren't regarded too hostilely by the house of Knopf. Apparently we should be clear shortly, and to help your efforts, I'll wire as soon as I have signed the papers. The first part of her letter, alluding to 'good news,' is about a novel I am finishing up, which looks like a picture too, but the last part of it takes up the disclaimer." In fine condition, with a light paperclip impression to the top edge.
