American writer of Western and post-apocalyptic genres (born 1933) who is widely regarded as one of the greatest contemporary American writers. He is the recipient of the National Book Award, the National Book Critics Circle Award, the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, and the James Tait Black Memorial Prize for Fiction. Many of his works have been adapted for film, including The Road and No Country for Old Men, the latter of which won the Academy Award for Best Picture. Scarce signed book: The Stonemason.
