Important French author (1628-1703) known for his development of the fairy tale genre. Scarce ALS in French, signed “Perrault,” one page, 4.25 x 6, October 1, 1666. Handwritten letter to Monsieur Fouin, in part (translated): "The prince has given the orders in the name of the king to rent the house of Mr. Parie who is an engineer of his majesty that is located in the Rue St. Nicaise for the price of 2,200 pounds for a year for three years commencing the first of October of the present year." In fine condition, with some light creasing, and scattered light foxing.
