Ruskin hopes to view "drawings by Turner"

Influential English art critic and writer (1819-1900) remembered as a champion of the work of J.M.W. Turner. ALS signed “J. Ruskin,” one page, 4.5 x 7, Denmark Hill letterhead, October 29, 1866. Handwritten letter to Henry Reeve, in full: "Will you pardon my again troubling you with the enquiry whether the drawings by Turner formerly belonging to Mr. Munro are now so far arranged as that I might by any means obtain permission to see them." In fine condition.
