TLS signed “Clementine S. Churchill,” one page, 5 x 8, 28 Hyde Park Gate letterhead, February 15, 1965. Letter to Mr. Oates, in full: “ I was so glad to have your letter and your sympathy at this time is a comfort to me. Thank you so much for writing.” In fine condition, with some light creasing in the blank areas. Sir Winston Churchill suffered a fatal stroke on January 12, 1965, and died 12 days later on the 24th.
