Collection of 37 vintage glass 'Magic Lantern' slides associated with Abraham Lincoln, including images of famous Lincoln photographs, artworks portraying the great president, and places affiliated with his life and death. Most measure 4 x 3.25 and are cased in period metal on the edges. Housed in an old wooden carrying case. In addition to several portraits of Abraham Lincoln, subjects include the cabin in which Lincoln was born; his homestead in Springfield, Illinois; Ford's Theatre; a facsimile of a letter written to a mother who lost her sons in the Civil War; and the Petersen House, where Lincoln died. In overall very good to fine condition, with mildew to some of the slides.
