Description

Emperor of Russia from 1801 to 1825, whose greatest triumph came in 1812 when Napoleon's invasion of Russia proved to be a catastrophic disaster for the French. Uncommon manuscript DS in Cyrillic, signed “Alexander,” one page, 8 x 13, May 26, 1812. Untranslated document boldly signed at the conclusion by Alexander I of Russia. In very good condition, with scattered light foxing, some small stains, and splitting and paper loss along the intersecting folds.
