ALS, one page, 8.5 x 11, New Mexico State University letterhead, May 8, 1991. Handwritten letter commenting on the solar system, in part: "We have not even found a 10th, or 11th planet beyond Pluto, much less than a 12th. That our first civilization was founded by people from 'this' (12th) planet is absurd. It would be so far from the sun, that its temperature would be more than 400 F below zero…All the planets orbits are ellipses (not circular), some more than others. Pluto is the most elliptical, Mercury next, Mars third. Such orbits are not really irregularities, but very common. In fact a perfectly circular orbit would be a freak!" In fine condition.
