TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, no date. Letter to a teacher, in part: "Many thanks for your sacrifice in helping out our youth. They represent the future for out country and indeed the human race. I have found that Space makes a good topic for study. Children find it interesting at any age and in any setting. It is win-win to provide a study subject that both teaches some good lessons about education, training, planning, leadership, and teamwork that all add up to success. Not just in the Space Program, but as I found out in 17 years with Northrop Grumman, in the business world as well. I thought the movie was the best movie that Hollywood has produced about the Space Program. I say that with regard to their attention to detail in portraying the technical aspects. What it looks like and feels like to go through a launch, an entry, experience zero gravity. They spent a lot of money to make the artifacts extremely accurate… the spacecraft, Mission Control, etc. To add realism they rented the NASA Zero-G aircraft and filmed the 'actornauts' free floating for 20 seconds at a time. When they filmed the scenes beyond our powerdown, they brought in refrigeration units to take the whole movie set down to 35 degrees which replicated our environment. However, some artistic license was taken. The only thing that bothered me was the addition of vulgar or 'spicey' language. None of those lines were ours." In fine condition.
