Description

German dramatist (1862-1946) who won the 1912 Nobel Prize in Literature. TLS in German, one page, 8.25 x 10.75, January 21, 1931. Letter declining an invitation, in part (translated): "I am infinitely sorry that I will not be able to attend the sixtieth Concordia Ball, since unfortunately I cannot afford to travel from here to the northern winter and I am also planning to go to Sicily soon. So I have no choice but to thank you very much for the kind invitation." In fine condition.
