Hand-addressed mailing panel by Hector Berlioz, 5.25 x 2.25, addressed by Berlioz to "Monsieur Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdi, Saale der Gewandhauser." Identified in an unknown hand in the upper right, "Hector Berlioz." The red wax seal is affixed below. Mounted, matted, and framed with a portrait to an overall size of 9.25 x 16.75. In fine condition. Mendelssohn was serving as director of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra at the time. A fantastic association piece.
