Celebrated dramatic operatic soprano (1893-1963) who was the creator of the title role of Puccini's last opera, Turandot, at La Scala, Milan. Vintage matte-finish 5.25 x 7.75 bust portrait of the lovely soprano, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "Mary Long, sincerely, Rosa Raisa.” Impressively matted and framed with a lovely brooch attributed to Raisa's personal collection to an overall size of 12 x 20. In fine condition. Provenance: Anna Sosenko, an impresario who had a well-known autograph boutique in NYC in the 1980s.
