Ornate and colorful illuminated manuscript apostolic benediction, signed "Pius PP XII," one page, 12.5 x 9.75, July 13, 1944. In full: "Donald F. Kruse and Family prostrate at the feet of Your Holiness, beg the Apostolic Blessing and a Plenary Indulgence at the hour of death on condition that being truly sorry for their sins but unable to receive the last Sacraments they shall at least invoke the name of Jesus." The upper left bears an affixed color portrait of Pope Pius, and the document is signed by him at the conclusion. Matted and framed to an overall size of 16.25 x 13.25. In fine condition.
