Two color 24 x 36 posters issued for the Lake Placid 1980 Winter Olympics, both featuring a watercolor painting by artist John Gallucci: one of a downhill skier with knees lifted and speeding through a drift of snow, and the other of a brave ski jumper soaring through the air, high above the treetops; both posters are signed in black felt tip by Gallucci. The lower section of both posters contains the Games emblem and reads: "Lake Placid 1980." Rolled and in overall fine condition, with very trivial wear to edges. A recognized watercolorist and a Signature Member of the American Watercolor Society 1953, Gallucci was an educator in the Lake Placid area for most of his career and was chosen to represent his home with a group of 1980 Winter Olympic Posters.
