Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “George R,” one page, 15.75 x 11.5, August 13, 1805. King George III appoints Archibald MacNeil to be "Captain in our Sixty-Sixth, or the Berkshire Regiment of Foot, commanded by Our Right Trusty and Right Welbeloved Cousin & Councillor General, John Earl of Clanricarde." Signed at the head by King George III. In fine condition, with intersecting folds, and scattered light staining and soiling.
