Scarce bid medal presented by the city of Albertville, France, to longtime IOC member James Worrall three months before Albertville was named as the host city for the 1992 Winter Olympic Games at the 91st session of the IOC in Lausanne. Bronze, 70 mm, 175 gm, the front features the embossed Heraldry of Albertville with raised text, “Ville d’Albertville,” and the reverse bears a wreath in relief with the central inscription, “James Worrall, 7-9-1986.” The edge is stamped “Bronze.” Includes its original red case by S.N.A.G. of Paris, which bears some light wear and marks.
