Apologetic letter to an admirer, in part: "I hope you will forgive my failure to reply to your letter…Shortly before my talk in Los Angeles, I was taken violently sick with a sinus attack induced by the flight by plane over the mountains from San Francisco. Only because I had given my talk a number of times before was I able to get through it at all…This week I am returning to Los Angeles to do some work there and would be glad to autograph your prints." In very good to fine condition, with trimmed edges, light creasing, and a few staple holes to the bottom edge.
